Time just keeps flying by. Things have changed dramatically since my last update, so I suppose it's time for another. With Sanctuary and Southern Watch wrapped up, I am on something of a roll when it comes to completing series. It feels good, man, and I plan to keep that trend up.
Current plan:
Finish Liars and Vampires with books 9 and 10 in 2025. I am currently working on book 9 with an eye toward releasing it very early in 2025 (either January or February). Book 10 may not be ready until late 2025, however. It's (tentatively) planned to be my summer project, but I may get an itch to finish it earlier. We'll see, but either way, it's getting finished in 2025.
Finish The Girl in the Box. After Liars 9, I'm going to work on TRIGGER MAN: The Girl in the Box, Book 59. That'll be out in early 2025 as well, probably March or April. That leaves me with six to go, and the target date for completing that series (at book 65) is sometime in 2026.
Finish The Girl Who Ran Away. This one's only getting 1-2 releases per year until Girl in the Box is finished. I just wrapped up book 3, BOUND IN SILENCE (up for pre-order now, coming December 2nd!). Don't know if I'll get the series finished in 2027 or not, but we're aiming for it. It's done at somewhere between 8-10 books. If I break the trend of finishing a series a year, well...it'll have to happen at some point.
Also, I'm starting something new in 2025. We'll see how that goes, and more details when I'm done writing the first book. No, it's not the epic fantasy series I've teased. That's still coming, but probably not until 2026 at earliest, after I wrap up The Girl in the Box.
That's the plan. We'll see how it goes.
(Probably somewhat well, at least at first. It generally takes a while for these things to really jump off the track and turn into a mass casualty incident.)
